Lincoln

Lincoln (affectionately known as “Links”) is the keeper puppy from my second litter, sired by the 2023 MASCUSA Nationals Best of Breed Winner, Dynasty’s Xander. From the start, he’s shown both structure and spirit — a happy, outgoing boy with an eager work ethic and undeniable presence.

While we have high hopes for Lincoln in both the conformation and sport rings, his most important job is geese abatement at the Chautauqua Institution Golf Course, where my husband is the Head Superintendent. He can be found there year-round, enthusiastically ushering geese off the greens and charming golfers as the unofficial course ambassador.

He’s just beginning his conformation career and has already received positive feedback from judges and spectators on his breed type and effortless movement. He’s also training in scent work, where his enthusiasm shines, and is laying a solid foundation in agility. He has strong toy and food drive, and is already showing promise in dock diving, happily launching off the ramp for swims. With his natural chase instincts and passion for motion, we fully expect him to excel in Lure Coursing and Fast CAT as well.

Though he’s “my husband’s dog” in many ways and won’t be trialed as heavily as Leviosa, Lincoln is showing plenty of potential. We’ll continue to explore different venues and let him tell us what he enjoys most, if only to keep his mind and body engaged. Above all, Lincoln is a joyful, affectionate presence in our home. He’s fun, sweet, and endlessly lovable, the kind of dog who makes every day brighter.
