About Leviosa

Leviosa is my first bred-by keeper, and has been a standout from the start, launching her conformation career in Canfield, Ohio with four BPUP Group 1s and three Best in Show Beginner Puppy wins, racking up 134 defeats in her very first weekend.

She finished her AKC Championship in just three weeks and quickly went on to earn her Grand Championship, reaching her Bronze level exclusively owner-handled. In 2023, she received an Award of Merit at MASCUSA Nationals, a BOB Owner Handled and two Select Bitch awards at the 2024 SEMASC Specialty shows and has placed and won multiple Owner-Handled Groups. She was also awarded MASCUSA’s Year-End Versatility Award for most titles earned in a calendar year — a perfect reflection of her brilliance across venues.

Now three years old, Leviosa is the embodiment of MAS versatility. She’s beautiful, driven, highly intelligent, and endlessly biddable. She currently competes at the Master level in both Agility and Scent Work, and also shines in dock diving, disc, rally, obedience, Barn Hunt, and Fast CAT.

As intense and athletic as she is, Leviosa is equally affectionate. She’s earned the nickname “Love” as she never strays far from my side, and her favorite place is pressed up against her people or doling out kisses.

Whether it’s crawling slowly into your lap or gently tucking her head into your chest for snuggles, she shows the same wholehearted commitment to connection as she does to competition. That duality, fierce in the ring and soft at heart, is what makes her truly special to me.

Clever Comes with Quirks

Leviosa is as clever, committed, and intense as they come, and she brings her full self to everything she does. She is extremely driven, has a fantastic toy drive, is treat-motivated and highly handler-focused, with a strong desire to be involved in every activity. If she sees me working another dog and isn’t included, she will let me know. She’s vocal, persistent, and doesn’t hide her feelings.

She’s also not a naturally patient dog. Whether she’s waiting her turn in a Scent Work queue, sitting at the start line in Agility, or holding for the UpDog “GO!” timer, she’s likely to let out her thoughts with enthusiasm. It’s part of her intensity and eagerness to work, but it’s important for potential puppy buyers to understand: this is a dog who thrives with structure, mental engagement, and a handler who appreciates her full-throttle approach to life.

She is also selectively reactive toward other dogs. She reliably works off-leash in group settings, can participate in pack walks with appropriate companions, and respects neutral dogs. However, if challenged or crowded, she will set a clear boundary. With some light management and understanding, she thrives. But she’s not a dog for someone who wants an “easygoing” temperament or is new to herding breeds.

These qualities don’t diminish her brilliance; they’re part of what makes her who she is. I share them not as red flags but as part of the full picture. Leviosa is the reason I believe so deeply in versatility, thoughtful breeding, and transparency, and I look forward to seeing her influence future Cleverest generations.

Future Breeding Plans

Leviosa is expected to be bred on her mid-year 2026 heat cycle. The litter will be raised at Cleverest in Erie, Pennsylvania, with a strong focus on early enrichment, structure, and sound development. Potential sires are currently being evaluated with an emphasis on versatility, temperament, and type. More information will be shared as plans are finalized.
